Carleton Heights and Area Residents Association Carleton Heights and Area Residents Association is a volunteer-run community association. How can you get involved? Our email address is [email protected]

Our objectives are to forge partnerships within our community and build a healthy community spirit among our residents and local businesses. The Carleton Heights and Area Residents’ Association (CHARA) officially represents the interests of residents and homeowners in Carleton Heights and area. Carleton Heights is defined in the official city plan as the area bounded to the east by the Rideau River, to the west by Fisher, to the South at the junction of Prince of Wales and Fisher and to the North by the Experimental Farm. The Residents’ Association encourages a sense of community by supporting recreation programming offered at the Carleton Heights Community Centre and representing residents in matters of real property, planning, development, crime, quality of life, transportation, and essential services. The Association is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, elected by residents. Become a Volunteer: The Association is looking for volunteers to assist with a number of activities in the community. Attend Board Meetings: Meetings of CHARA’s Board are open to members of the community. Meetings are held at the Community Centre on the fourth Tuesday of each month beginning at 6:30 p.m. Contact the Association: Send us an email with your comments or suggestions.

♻️ Hidden Treasures – Giveaway Weekend

➡️ Place unwanted but usable household goods at the curb for others to take free of charge.

Giveaway Weekend is back! Join the city-wide treasure hunt on Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4.

Simply place your gently used possessions at the curb during Giveaway Weekend and let someone else discover a new favourite. Then, take a stroll in your neighbourhood and see what hidden gems are out there waiting for you.

Giveaway items could include:
- Books, CDs and DVDs
- Children’s toys and clothes
- Furniture and appliances in working condition
- Kitchen gadgets, dishes, cutlery, pots and pans
- Sporting equipment

At the end of the day, bring any uncollected items back inside. What hasn’t found a new home can be donated to charitable organizations, shared through your local Buy Nothing Facebook group, or posted on other free exchange websites.
