Calling our business friends in construction - can you help Stittsville District Lions Club?

🎄 🎄✨ CAN YOU HELP US LIGHT UP VILLAGE SQUARE PARK? ✨🎄

The Stittsville District Lions Club is looking for a local company or individual with a boom truck who could help us install Christmas lights on the large tree at Village Square Park.

We already have the permit for the park — now we need help reaching those high branches!

🌟 Installation will be weather dependent, but our goal is to have the lights up before the Parade of Lights on Saturday December 5

If you have a boom truck and can lend us a hand, or know someone who might be able to help, please send us a message.

Let’s light up Stittsville for Christmas! 🎄❤️🦁

Please share!

This week Capital Services is celebrating busy parents with their free snow removal giveaway! Head over to their page to nominate a parent.

❄️ WIN FREE SNOW: WEEK 4 OF 10 ❄️

This week, we're celebrating the Kanata South & Stittsville parents who are outnumbered, outpaced, and somehow still make it out the door on time. 😅

Picture the new mom on the block, who finally got the baby down and looks outside to find 20 centimetres in the driveway. The single dad who has to clear a path before he can even start the car, with two kids watching from the window. The mom of three who packs the hockey bags, finds the missing mitten, and scrapes the windshield, all before 6AM. The parent shovelling at 10PM because that's the only quiet hour they get all day.

They spend their days making everyone else's life happen. This winter, we'd like to take one thing off the to-do list.

💛 HOW TO ENTER:

✍️ Comment below with the name of the person you're nominating and why they deserve it

❄️ WHY NOMINATE
A snow day is magic when you're seven. It's a logistics problem when you're the one holding the shovel.

Winter asks more of parents than anyone else. The extra 40 minutes before school. The boots, the snow pants, the driveway that has to be dug out before anything else in the day can even start. We'd like to hand one family that time back. Time to play in the snow, not shovel it. ☃️

📍 The parent you nominate needs to live in Kanata South or Stittsville.
🏆 Winner announced Friday, September 18!

And if you're a busy parent reading this at 11PM with a full sink of dishes, dreading pulling out your shovel again this winter, nominate yourself. We'd be glad to hear from you. 💛
