We were pleased to attend and exhibit at the Canadian Produce Marketing Association (CPMA) Convention and Trade Show this year—an incredible opportunity to connect with industry partners and contribute to meaningful conversations across Canada’s fresh produce sector.

🌟 A highlight of the event was the Passion for Produce (PFP) Program, CPMA’s immersive professional development experience designed to support and empower the next generation of produce leaders. Through mentorship, guided learning, and hands-on exposure to the supply chain, PFP participants gain valuable insights “from field to fork” while building lasting industry connections.🌟

We’re especially proud that our colleague, Anne Fowlie, participated as a mentor in this year’s program. Mentors play an important role in shaping the experience—whether through networking sessions, speed mentoring, or guiding participants across the trade show floor—sharing perspectives and helping young professionals make the most of the event.

Anne shared that being part of the program is also a chance to pay it forward, reflecting on the many mentors who supported her own career journey in the produce industry.

Programs like PFP—and the broader Young Professionals community—are vital to fostering growth, collaboration, and leadership across our industry.

Thank you to CPMA for hosting another fantastic convention and continuing to invest in the future of fresh produce.

The referees will be back on the trade show floor.

At CPMA last year, the DRC team suited up as referees—a light‑hearted nod to the serious work we do every day: helping our members prevent and resolve disputes fairly, efficiently, and impartially.

We’re pleased to be returning as exhibitors at the CPMA Conference & Trade Show from April 29–30, 2026. We invite you to stop by Booth 124 to meet our team and learn more about how the DRC supports confidence and trust across the fresh produce industry.

If you’d like to book a meeting with a member of our team during the show, please send us a message at [email protected].

We look forward to connecting.

🌍 From Berlin to Toronto – It’s been a busy and energizing start to the year for us at the DRC!

We started the year with the SWIPE Produce Expo in Tucson, then at FRUIT LOGISTICA in Berlin. While in Berlin, our own Jaime Bustamante met with Patrick Kelly of The Produce Industry Network to share insights on Trade Standards and Financial Protection. 🎤 Missed the interview? 👉 Link in the comments.

What we enjoy most at these events is the chance to connect with industry members, exchange insights, and discuss how resources and DRC membership can support smoother, more reliable produce trading across borders.

🍎🥦 Next stop: the CPMA Conference and Trade Show in Toronto! We’re looking forward to reconnecting with many of you there. Come say hello to us in booth #124.

Will you be attending CPMA as well? If you haven't registered yet, be sure to take advantage of the early‑bird pricing (along with a chance to win a spectacular prize!), which ends Friday, March 6th. >> https://convention.cpma.ca/attendees/online-registration/

Early bird registration for CPMA 2026 is now open. Full delegates have access to all business and social events including meal functions, as well as the Trade Show EXCEPT retail tours and the Ontario Food Terminal Tour.
