Are you passionate about supporting Indigenous student success and academic journeys? The Aboriginal Teacher Education Program (ATEP) is seeking a dedicated Director to lead our efforts in empowering students from inquiry to graduation.

🍓 Position Highlights:
- Leadership and management of all aspects of the Aboriginal Teacher Education Program (ATEP) within the Faculty of Education.
- Reports to and collaborates closely with the Associate Dean, Indigenous Teacher Education.
- Liaises with key stakeholders within the Faculty of Education.
- Supports operational, pedagogical, and curricular aspects of the program.
- Involves in program planning and delivery to ensure effective implementation.
- Oversees student recruitment and staff supervision.
- Responsible for budget preparation and financial reporting.
- Engages in committee activities to foster program development.
- Builds and maintains relationships with Indigenous communities, both rural and urban.
- Partners with community colleges to enhance cultural relevance of the program.
- Aims to attract qualified students and ensure smooth operations of ATEP.

🍓 Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in education. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience in a supervisory, managerial, or leadership capacity.
- Active involvement in Indigenous communities and initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability and potential for scholarly excellence in Indigenous Education, with a focus on innovative knowledge creation, and community engagement.
- Commitment to service and extracurricular involvement in community or professional activities related to Indigenous education and development.

🍓 Preferred Qualifications
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching at the elementary and/or secondary school levels.
- Experience working in collaborative, cross-institutional environments or partnerships with Indigenous communities and educational organizations.
