Friends of the National Arts Centre Orchestra (Canada) is a not-for-profit organization which supports the NAC Orchestra , music and music education through fund-raising activities and volunteer efforts. Friends of the National Arts Centre Orchestra, a not-for-profit organization, is a community of music lovers who share its passion through special events that bring us closer to the NAC Orchestra.
Founded at the same time as the Orchestra, more than 40 years ago, Friends has been connecting music and people ever since. Our goal is to enjoy music while financially supporting young talented musicians and creating opportunities for the younger generation to enjoy orchestral music. Here are just some of the activities we organize throughout the year to deepen our music experience and raise money to support youth:
• Chamber concerts & recitals in beautiful settings such as ambassadorial homes and galleries (e.g., Music to Dine For! and Embassy Chamber Concerts);
• Launch events;
• Open rehearsals;
• Bursary competitions; and
• Other special events. Members also have the opportunity to volunteer in many capacities.

Les Amis de l’Orchestre du CNA ont pour objectif d’encourager la collectivité des mélomanes à soutenir l’Orchestre du Centre national des Arts, les jeunes musicien(-ne)s et les initiatives d’éducation musicale au Canada. Sont énumérées ci-dessous quelques unes des activités organisées tout au long de l’année par les AOCNA, en vue d’enrichir notre expérience musicale et de collecter des fonds à l’intention des jeunes musiciens :
• Récitals et concerts de musique de chambre organisés par des ambassadeurs, dans le cadre de leurs résidences, par le truchement des programmes « Gourmandise musicale » et « Concert dans une ambassade »;
• Manifestations de lancement au CNA;
• Répétitions ouvertes;
• Concours de la bourse, et
• Diverses activités spéciales. Les membres ont aussi la possibilité de devenir bénévoles dans un grand éventail de fonctions.
