Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ottawa Together with over 1000 volunteers, we foster, facilitate and support one-to-one and group mentoring relationships with children in need of a special friend.

As Canada’s leading child and youth mentoring charity, Big Brothers Big Sisters facilitates life-changing relationships that inspire and empower young people to reach their full potential. Big Brothers Big Sisters Ottawa is the premier mentoring organization in Ottawa that provides rewarding, life-changing, fun experiences for children/youth through programs that enrich the lives of all involved. We serve over 1000 children and youth annually in programs supported by volunteers based on the principles of safe and quality programming. We focus on enabling children to hope and dream and realize their potential.

Today, on World Mental Health Day, we're reminded that no one should have to navigate life's challenges alone. 💚

We believe in the power of connection. Having someone who listens, encourages and consistently shows up can make a meaningful difference in a young person's life.

Whether it's checking in on someone, offering a listening ear or taking time for yourself, even the smallest acts of kindness and support matter.

Let's continue creating a community where everyone feels seen, heard and supported. 💙
