Prix Rideau Awards

To celebrate, encourage and promote French and English locally produced professional theatre work and its artists, through an annual awards gala.

The intent of the organization is to foster artistic excellence and to encourage communication between both theatre communities, thereby establishing a greater sense of belonging to a united artistic community and increasing awareness in the community at large. The determination of the awards will be made by a committee of peers.

L’objectif de l’organisation est de favoriser l’excellence artistique et la communication entre les deux communautés théâtrales, dans le but d’accroître leur sentiment d’appartenance à une communauté artistique unie et de sensibiliser la collectivité dans son ensemble à leur travail. Les lauréats sont déterminés par un comité de pairs.

The 2024/2025 theatre season nominations will be announced exclusively through on Thursday, October 30th.

Our awards gala is Sunday, November 23rd at La Nouvelle Scene. Tickets on sale Thursday!

Deadlines to apply to sit on our French and/or English juries are fast approaching.

NEW this year ✨ all jurors receive two (2) tickets to each production so you can bring a friend! See professional theatre for free all season long and strengthen the local arts community by becoming a PRA juror!

👉 English applications are due Monday, September 15th
👉 French applications are due Monday, September 29th
