Amazing program lined up for this week with the Fundy National Park Geologist-in- Residence!!!!

This week, join Geologist In Residence Catrina Russell and explore the geology of Fundy through guided walks, presentations, hands-on activities, and a partial solar eclipse viewing.

🥁 It's our pleasure to announce the 2026 Geologist-in-residence at Pukaskwa National Park, Graham Wilson! Graham is a professional geoscientist in Ontario, and in his almost 50-year career his work has spanned academic and industry roles as researcher, consultant and teacher. His core interests include mineralogy, mineral exploration, and studies of meteorites.

Join Graham for guided hikes and activities august 3-16 or follow updates of his adventure !

📢 Announcing the first ever Geologist in Residence at Fundy National Park!

Catrina Russell is an enthusiastic geoscience communicator with a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of New Brunswick and nearly two decades of experience sharing geological stories with anyone who will listen! She is happiest when examining a cool rock or fossil and loves helping others learn to read the rocks. As the 2026 Fundy National Park Geologist in Residence, Catrina is excited to share the stories written in stone that make Fundy such an incredible place to explore!

Elle est comblée lorsqu’elle examine une roche ou un fossile fascinant et adore aider les autres à apprendre à « lire » les roches. En tant que géologue en résidence 2026 du parc national de Fundy, Catrina est ravie de partager les histoires gravées dans la pierre qui font de Fundy un lieu si incroyable à explorer !
