At a time when societies are facing deep divisions, rising polarization, loss of social connective tissue, and declining trust, recognizing the people and organizations who choose pluralism as a different path matters.
The Global Pluralism Award shines a light on leaders helping diverse societies move toward inclusion, belonging and shared progress. Their work reminds us that courage, trust, and action build pluralism every day.
As the application period for the 2027 Global Pluralism Award approaches, you can reflect on why this work matters and why it deserves to be seen, supported and celebrated. There is no single way to advance pluralism.
From defending rights and building trust across differences to creating more inclusive institutions, opening space for underrepresented voices, or helping communities live together with greater dignity and the certainty that they belong, pluralism is built on actions across societies. Pluralism leaders work in hospitals, firehalls, theatres, courtrooms, classrooms, office buildings, or religious institutions. Some work in the midst of violent conflict, others where discrimination goes unseen. Some lead from public office, others lead from within their communities.
The Global Pluralism Award celebrates all kinds of pluralistic leadership because building more inclusive societies takes many forms. Stay tuned - submissions open in less than a week!
