COPA 2026 is tomorrow! 🌞

This full day event of GA with pilots, aircraft owners, COPA Flights, industry partners, and aviation enthusiasts from across the country wouldn't be possible without Orillia Rama Regional Airport (ORRA)!

Recently under new ownership, ORRA is family run with a commitment to continuously enhance the rich GA community in Orillia and beyond. ORRA is home to Orillia Aviation, a Cessna-approved aircraft service center, the Perfect Landing Bar and Grill, Queens Aviation flight school, and FlyLakeCountry.com.

Located in a protected bay on Lake St. John, owners of float plane and wheel planes have access to a 24-hour self-serve fuelling system available both on water and on land. ORRA is classified as an airport of entry by Nav Canada and is staffed by the Canada Border Services Agency.

UPDATE ‼️

We would like to inform you that, due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had a topic change for the recurrent training session scheduled for COPA 2026: Fly-in, Splash-in, Annual General Meeting and Member’s Event.

We are pleased to present, "COPA 2026 Safety Seminar: Emergency Procedures"! Join COPA's Western Vice-Chair and Regional Director for British Columbia and Yukon, Sigmund Bering Sort, to review aircraft emergency procedures, including system failures, engine issues, and unexpected situations. You'll learn the importance of aircraft systems knowledge, effective checklist use, situational awareness, and maintaining proficiency to better manage emergencies and improve safety outcomes.

If you have already registered to attend in person or online, no further action is required.

If you have not yet registered, please head to copanational.org/copa2026 to confirm your attendance at COPA 2026 and participation in this valuable recurrent training session.

Join us for our national Fly-In/Splash-In and AGM. It's going to be a full day of GA with pilots, aircraft owners, COPA Flights, industry partners, and aviation enthusiasts from across the country! For those who plan to attend COPA 2026 in person, please take a moment to register.

If you can't make it in person to the event, you can still follow along to live streams on our YouTube channel to get the most out of the event!

For the AGM portion of the day, members who cannot attend may designate Secretary of the Board of Directors, Grant Bailey, or another active COPA member attending the meeting to act in accordance with their voting instructions. Your form must be received no later than 5 p.m. ET on Friday, June 19, 2026 to be counted.

We're excited to be participating in Discover Aviation on Saturday, June 13 at the Region of Waterloo International Airport (YKF)! (Rain date: Sunday, June 14.)

Hosted by COPA Breslau Flight 26, Fliteline Services, and the Waterloo Warbirds, this community event gives participants the opportunity to experience the thrill of flight through a free introductory flight in a small aircraft.

Be sure to stop by the WWFC booth to learn more about flight training, our drone programs, and aviation career opportunities. You can also check out Canada's first certified electric aircraft, the Velis Electro, and enter for a chance to win a scenic flight experience!

Whether you're dreaming of becoming a pilot or simply curious about aviation, we'd love to chat.
