On this , we recognize the urgency of protecting our planet and the power of youth-led collective action.

At DOT, climate action is embedded in how we equip young people with digital skills, leadership opportunities, and the confidence to create solutions in their own communities. Through the Program, young leaders across Africa and the Middle East are taking action on the ground by tree planting, community clean ups, and hosting local climate events, while mobilizing thousands of community members to engage in more sustainable practices.

Today, we celebrate their impact and reaffirm our commitment to enabling the next generation of climate leaders.

Have you been part of this journey? If you have worked with DOT on a climate activity — as a virtual learner, Street Team member, Alumni, or as — leave a comment and share more about your work. We'd love to hear from you! 💚

This week, the DOT team based in Ottawa, Canada, took some time to connect over lunch! 🍽️

In the middle of busy schedules and meetings, it’s important to pause, disconnect for a moment, share a few laughs, and spend time together as a team. These moments of connection strengthen the relationships behind the work and remind us that collaboration starts with community 💙

Our ongoing Youth Leadership Program 2026–2027 ToT Session was inspired by a visit from Laureen Thiam (), a former Youth Leader from the Going Beyond Round 2 project under

Laureen joined the session to share her journey, experiences, lessons, and mentorship with the new cohort of Youth Leaders who are preparing to create impact in their own communities

Her story is a true reflection of how the Going Beyond Project continues to empower young people, build confidence, strengthen leadership, and create a cycle of youth supporting youth for sustainable community transformation.

UNICEF Youth Centers, implemented in partnership with DOT Jordan, hosted a one-day “Building Career Pathways” workshop. Volunteers, together with DOT staff, have been developing a career counseling curriculum aimed at strengthening youth career planning, job search strategies, and transferable employability skills

During the workshop, youth center volunteers piloted their sessions and provided peer feedback on the session outlines and facilitation methods. This initiative highlights the agile and responsive nature of the youth center programming, while also reinforcing DOT Jordan’s commitment to building the long-term capacity of IBVs through practical learning and hands-on experience
