Centre for the North We work collaboratively with Northerners to deliver cutting-edge research and provide a vibrant forum for discussion on issues facing Canada's North.

The Centre for the North brings together Aboriginal leaders, businesses, governments and community advocates. It collaborates with Northerners to identify challenges and opportunities, gain knowledge and provide insight into how such challenges can be met. To focus its research, the Centre asks pertinent questions about critical issues that Northerners' would like to see addressed, for instance: W

hat are the determinants of positive educational outcomes in the North? How does the capacity of human capital affect economic development in northern communities? And how do resilient communities cope with the challenges they face in terms of climate change, housing, and infrastructure, among others.
