Call for Volunteers: Membership Committee Chair Needed

The DCRA Council is seeking a volunteer to step into the role of Membership Committee Chair. This is a key position that directly supports the strength, growth, and long-term sustainability of our association.

The Membership Committee plays a central role in shaping how the DCRA serves its members both current and future. As Chair, you would help guide membership policy, ensure our records and categories remain effective, and support efforts to attract new members while keeping our existing members engaged and valued.

Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and reviewing membership requirements and categories
- Recommending annual membership fees and benefits
- Maintaining affiliate and conjoint PRA membership records
- Supporting regular communication with members through newsletters and social media
- Helping develop programs that recognize and honour deserving members, athletes, officers, and council members

This role is ideal for someone who cares about the health of the organization, enjoys thoughtful planning, and wants to make a meaningful contribution behind the scenes. Council support is available, and you will not be expected to do everything alone—the committee structure is there to help.

Canada claims the Team Aggregate title with an exceptional performance.

Outstanding performance by Team Canada at the , capturing the Team Aggregate title with an exceptional score of 2565-125x. The aggregate combined the Palma course of fire with an additional 20-shot match at 1000 yards.

Under the leadership of Coach Peter Westlake, the team delivered a remarkable showing:

• Avtar Nanrey — 649-45x
• Andrew Mohideen — 645-31x
• Fazal Mohideen — 642-32x
• Bernard Pepin — 629-17x

Congratulations to the entire team on this impressive achievement and a proud moment for Canadian long-range shooting.

Call for Proposals to Host 2026 FCNC: Notice to all PRA’s and associated clubs from the DCRA

The Shooting Committee of the DCRA is looking for interested parties that may wish to host the 2026 F-Class Nationals (FCNC). Any PRA or Club who has any interest should contact the writer
below with the following information:
-Estimated dates of event
-Location (range)
-Number of positions available
-Number of competitors that could be handled
-Main contact
-Any other information that will help the DCRA make their decision

If there are any other questions that you may have or information needed to move forward, please do not hesitate to let us know, again, at the email below.

We are trying to have the location information out to the membership as soon as we can, so we ask that any interested parties let us know before January 1,2026.

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts, we share the passing of Andy Jasiak at the age of 63. Andy was a passionate competitive Target Rifle shooter since his teenage years and traveled all over the world representing Canada on many national shooting teams.

Andy’s passion for marksmanship and his friendship on and off the range left a lasting mark on all who knew him. The DCRA sends heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.

C’est avec une profonde tristesse et le cœur lourd que nous annonçons le décès d’Andy Jasiak, à l’âge de 63 ans. Andy était un tireur passionné de carabine Target Rifle depuis son adolescence et a parcouru le monde en représentant le Canada au sein de nombreuses équipes nationales.

La passion d’Andy pour le tir de précision et son amitié, tant sur le pas de tir qu’en dehors, ont laissé une empreinte durable chez tous ceux qui l’ont connu. La DCRA offre ses sincères condoléances à sa famille et à ses amis.
