As CEO and Director of Relations, respectively, the two share details on why they founded RiGEL, what services it offers and why it’s so important to understand the system, to ultimately ‘beat it at its own game’.

The Legacy of Hope Foundation and the Rotary Club of Ottawa–Stittsville invite community members to gather for an Indigenous-led ceremony, followed by a reflective walk along the park trail, a craft table, and the laying of painted rocks.

Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Legacy of Hope Foundation President Adam North Peigan shares a message of remembrance, reflection, and responsibility.

We honour the Survivors of Residential Schools, their families, and the children who never returned home. We also recognize the strength and resilience of Indigenous Peoples and communities across this land.

Reconciliation is not the work of one day. It requires listening, learning the truth of our shared history, and carrying that knowledge forward through meaningful action.

Journée nationale de la vérité et de la réconciliation 🧡 | Cette journée est l’occasion de reconnaître les répercussions durables de cette histoire et de poursuivre le chemin de la vérité, du respect et de la réconciliation. Le 30 septembre prochain, différentes activités auront lieu en Outaouais :
▪️Journée de partage, d’apprentissage et de réflexion organisée par le Centre d’amitié autochtone de Gatineau en collaboration avec le Legacy of Hope Foundation, de 9 h 30 à 15 h

Workshops include:

• Self-Care and Well-Being Exercises
• Financial Literacy: Fraud Prevention

This is our Orange Heart - Indigenous Support Lapel Pin

In 2022, we designed and launched this lapel pin as part of our stock collection, with 50% of the sales being donated to an Indigenous-led charity organization, Legacy of Hope Foundation

LFH aims "to educate and raise awareness about the history and existing intergenerational impacts of the Residential School System and subsequent Sixties Scoop on Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, and Métis) Survivors, their descendants, and their communities to promote healing and Reconciliation."

🌟 Appel de candidatures pour les membres du comité consultatif du projet ! 🌟

Le Fondation autochtone de l’espoir recherche des personnes passionnées et dévouées pour se joindre à notre comité consultatif du projet (CCP) dans le cadre du projet « Aurora de l’espoir : La lumière perce les ténèbres ». 🎉

Le CCP sera chargé de formuler des commentaires sur l’élaboration d’un guide de prévention du su***de ancré dans la culture, visant à fournir aux familles et aux communautés des outils pour surmonter le deuil, renforcer les liens familiaux, améliorer la communication et favoriser la guérison. De plus, le CCP examinera l’élaboration de trois jeux de cartes d’affirmations destinés à favoriser la guérison, la résilience ainsi que la prévention de la violence familiale et de l’automutilation.
