✨ 🌎 🦭 On this week’s episode of Roots and Hoots, we are joined by the impressive Inuk Elder Piita Irniq. Piita is a drum dancer, former commissioner of Nunavut and Survivor of the Residential School System.

Piita was born in an igloo and talks about the many changes Inuit have gone through in such a short time. He talks about their strength, flexibility, unity as a people and so much more. Piita travels the world building Inukshuks, teaching people about Inuit culture and traditions, as well as leading efforts to support healing and Reconciliation. 🦭🌎 ✨
