The Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary is saddened to learn of the tragic loss of two members of the Marine Rescue NSW crew and the third loss of life of a person at the scene. We extend our heartfelt condolences to their families, fellow responders, and all those affected.

We extend our thoughts for those who were injured and the broader community now facing the lasting impact of this tragedy.

These moments remind us of the courage and selflessness shown by search and rescue volunteers around the world, individuals who answer the call to help others, often in the most challenging conditions.

Across oceans and borders, we stand together in mourning and in solidarity with our colleagues in New South Wales Australia. Your loss is felt deeply within the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary and across the international maritime search and rescue community.

What an amazing week!!! This week at Camp Courage: First Responders Society with Coastal Nations Coast Guard Auxiliary has been transformative.

Watching these young women rise each morning with determination has been deeply inspiring. From the first safety drill to their final steps at graduation, they’ve embraced every challenge with open hearts and courage. They’ve shown the strength, teamwork, and leadership that define our future first responders. Camp Courage isn’t just a camp—it’s a spark that ignites purpose!
