The Wildcats are looking for a few more teams to join their Wild for a Cause women’s hockey tournament!

The tournament takes place November 6–8, 2026, at the Smiths Falls Community Centre & Youth Arena.

Women's hockey continues to grow because of passionate communities like this one. 👏🏒

Since 2013, the Liverpool Lady Cougars have hosted their annual Hot on the Ice tournament in Liverpool, Nova Scotia, welcoming recreational women's teams from across the region for a weekend of hockey and community.

What started as a tournament has grown into something even bigger. The newly formed Liverpool Women's Hockey Association is helping expand opportunities for women to play the game while raising funds to support and grow women's hockey in their community. This year's event welcomed 10 teams and 142 players, while the hometown Lady Cougars captured the tournament banner for the first time since the event began in 2013.

CARHA Hockey was proud to play a small part in supporting this year's tournament and the incredible work being done by the Liverpool Women's Hockey Association. Congratulations to everyone involved on another successful event, and thank you for continuing to grow women's recreational hockey in your community.

The Ottawa Charge are bringing PWHL playoff hockey to Canadian Tire Centre this weekend — a huge moment for Ottawa and the women’s game.

The Ottawa Charge take on Boston Fleet on Friday and then return to the ice Sunday at CTC — making for a pretty great Mother’s Day outing with mom. 💐🏒

More than 17,000 fans packed Canadian Tire Centre the last time Ottawa played there during the regular season… let’s beat it this time, Ottawa.

After finishing first, Montreal had the choice of opponent… and selected Minnesota— the two-time defending champs.

Minnesota’s never lost a playoff series. But Montreal had the edge in the regular season.
