As harvest and spooky season approaches, we invite you and your family to join the Indigenous Early Years Circle for our Mini Fall Festival.

Families are invited to come celebrate the season and join us for an evening of Halloween costumes, trick-or-treating at our booths, cultural fall activities and more!

Date: October 23rd
Time: 4 pm to 7 pm

Hello everyone!
It’s been far too long since we have posted. Welcome to the social media page for the Indigenous Early Years Circle!

The Indigenous Early Years Circle is a nonprofit collective of seven Indigenous-led organizations, including Makonsag Indigenous Childcare, Wabano Centre, Inuuqatigiit Centre, Odawa Native Friendship Centre, Tungasuvvingat Inuit, Aunties on the Road, and Minwaashin Lodge.

These organizations are dedicated to providing culturally relevant care and services to Indigenous families across Ottawa.

We have lots of exciting events planned for 2026 and 2027. We hope you stay updated and share with friends/family about all the great events and resources coming up!

Makonsag’s Head Start is a FREE program funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada—and you do not need the City of Ottawa Child Care Subsidy to participate!

Celebrate our youngest community members at the Baby Welcoming Ceremony during the 25th Ottawa Indigenous Children and Youth Pow Wow. This annual event honours newborns with a welcoming song and special acknowledgment from our Elders.

In collaboration with IEYC member organizations and the Ottawa Aboriginal Coalition, we are excited to share information regarding the 25th Annual Ottawa Children’s Pow Wow!

Join us on April 25th from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM at the EY Centre as we come together to celebrate our babies, children, and youth.

Event Highlights include Baby Welcoming Ceremony and Grand Entry.

We look forward to celebrating this special day with our children, families,and community members.
