Our interns train with the best independent producers in Canada in every facet of production - from development to post, drama to documentary. Through its diverse slate of mentorship programs, the NMP provides CMPA members with enthusiastic and cost-effecti

ve production personnel. In return, our mentors provide one-on-one training to a dazzling new crop of emerging producers and filmmakers. More than 80% of our NMP interns continue working in the industry following their placements. The National Mentorship Program is the ultimate inside track to a career in ‘the biz’!

Headed by International Emmy-nominated producer, Lauren Corber, LoCo has a track record of successfully collaborating with creators to produce audience-driven, compelling stories for all screens worldwide. About the Role:

LoCo needs someone to come to the set of our latest television production, shooting from now until Nov 16 (weekdays only - with possible extension) in Toronto ON, to capture content for social media. We are looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about film production, marketing, and storytelling? Flirt Films is on the lookout for a talented and enthusiastic Producer's Assistant Paid Intern to join our team for the next 6 months full time.

What You'll Do:

Shadow our president, producer and filmmaker, Patricia Chica, and learn the process of developing and creating content for film and TV, from inception to promotion. Managing busy meeting calendars and ensuring our projects stay on track.
You'll assist in handling important communications and correspondence via email and phone.
You'll be reading scripts and marketing materials, and providing feedback from your own unique perspective.

You'll be invited to attend conferences, screenings, and industry networking events in presence and online.

You will assist in. and learn about the creation of pitch decks, press releases and sizzle reels.

You'll help us organize auditions, table reads and rehearsals with actors as well as observe how working with talent works.
And so much more!

Bilingual (English - French) a must.
We also encourage Hispanic students to apply as we produce LatinX content.

Busy film production company Timeless Pictures seeks intern to assist in the Business Affairs department.

You will be trained in the following areas to assist the VP Business Affairs:
- film financing structures
- development
- budgeting
- film union/guild signatory process (SAG/AFTRA, UBCP/ACTRA, WGA, WGC, DGC BC)
- federal and provincial film tax credits
- film insurance (Commercial General Liability/Entertainment Package, Errors & Omissions, Telefilm Short-Term Compensation Fund)
- production office operations
- US and Canadian copyright registrations
- on screen credits process
- legal delivery to broadcasters and distributors
