Fall/Winter 2026-27 Program Registration – Limited Spaces Available!

We have space available in some of our Fall/Winter 2026-27 programs (see list at end of this post). While general registration is now closed, you can now sign up for select programs on a first-come, first-served basis using the link below.

If you register at this time, please wait to hear from the Head Coach and/or Team Manager before reaching out. They will contact you with details about program dates, times, and locations. They will also share important information about what to bring, what to wear, and what to expect.

If you have not heard from the Head Coach and/or Team Manager within one week of registering, please email [email protected].

Please register one athlete at a time.
Important: Please save your receipt when it is mailed to you. Receipts are mailed directly to the email provided at registration. The club treasurer may not have access to receipts.

Please read program descriptions that are available on our website before registering.
Please do not register for multiple programs of the same sport.
Please do not register for multiple programs that overlap in time.
Please do not register for multiple programs on the same day if there is not enough time to travel between locations between the end of one program to the start of the next.

Athletes between ages of 13-21 are encouraged to register for our Youth Multisport (13-21) Program.
Athletes ages 7-12 can register for the FUNdamentals Program.
Athletes ages 2-6 can register for the Active Start Program.

Please note that athletes who are successful with registration will be contacted by their coach to confirm registration, start date / time / location / any special instructions!

Special Olympics Ottawa!! Do you know someone exceptional in the local Special Olympics Ontario - Ottawa community that is deserving of recognition? It’s that time of year again, to nominate some of our amazing athletes and coaches for one of our local awards! These awards are for the time frame of Sept 1, 2025 until Aug 31, 2026.

We have two categories this year - Community Program Awards, and School Program Awards.

Community Program Awards:
- Athlete of the Year
- Coach of the Year
- Sportsmanship Award
- Volunteer of the Year (non-coach)

School Program Awards:
- School Athlete of the Year
- Unified Partner of the Year
- Educator of the Year

2026 Ottawa Special Olympics Festival Breakfast - Athlete/Volunteer Registration is now open!

The always popular Ottawa Special Olympics Festival Breakfast event, presented by Kelly Santini LLP, returns again this year on Thursday, Oct 29th at 7:30am at the Rogers Centre Ottawa. This event celebrates the accomplishments of Special Olympics athletes from the Ottawa area, as well as the Special Olympics movement in general. Once again, Kelly Santini LLP is generously offering a number of tables for athletes and volunteers. If you would like to be on the guest list, please complete this form:

Hello community members! The Ottawa Power Wheelchair Hockey League (OPWHL) season is ready to begin, and they are looking for Referees and Coaches, check them out if you are interested!

Initial registration for the Fall/Winter 2026-27 programs is now closed. Following the lottery, coaches will be contacting anyone who registered before the planned start date.

For athletes who were successfully registered through the lottery, Coaches will be in contact with you to confirm successful registration and provide you with program details such as start date, times, location and any other expectations such as what to wear and bring.

For athletes who were not successfully registered through the lottery, Coaches will contact you to confirm that you have not been entered into the program yet. The coach will let you know if your name has been added to a waitlist and information about refunds.

Anyone registering after August 31st will be placed on a waitlist and not eligible for entry through the lottery. As most of our programs reached capacity through the initial registration period, athletes who missed the deadline are encouraged to email the respective program coach before registering. Those wishing to proceed with registration for the waitlist can do so online. Payment will not be required unless you are specifically notified by a member of the Special Olympics Ottawa Community Council or the Head Coach.

Check back later in September for opportunities to register for programs with space, or be added to the waitlist for programs at capacity.

Baseball fans! Canada Summer Games multi-medalist Vince Croteau and Coach Cathy Croteau have some extra tickets to the three Ottawa Titans games next week, and would love to have some Special Olympics Ottawa athletes join them!

The games are Tuesday Sept 1st, Wednesday Sept 2nd and Thursday Sept 3rd. If you are interested in going, reach out to Cathy at [email protected].
