The recent Ottawa Cha Gheill Panel, “The Cost of Forgetting: Understanding and Responding to the Coming Memory Crisis in Canada,” was a standout success, drawing more than 100 alumni for a timely and thought-provoking conversation. Elizabeth Allen, MPA ’09, Dr. John Muscedere, and Thinh Nguyen, ArtSci ’14, offered compelling insights into age-related cognitive decline, practical strategies for supporting healthy cognitive aging, and the latest therapeutic research and policy efforts aimed at addressing this growing challenge. Special thanks to Lucy Van Oldenbarneveld, ArtSci ’89, whose expert moderation kept the discussion lively, focused, and engaging for an enthusiastic audience full of thoughtful questions.

The Queen's Model Parliament (QMP) is one of Queen's University's longest-running, successful events. The 79th QMP held on January 7 was no different, with over 300 students from all faculties involved. The post-event reception, held January 8 at the Ottawa Marriott, was a unique opportunity for alumni and students to connect, gain insights, and make new friends. By all accounts, the event was great fun and created memorable moments for all. A huge shoutout to Zev Kalin (MBA’91) for brilliantly capturing all the excitement in his amazing photos. We’d love to see you there next year!
