🇺🇦 Ukrainian National Unity Radio Dictation 2026 | Радіодиктант національної єдності 🇺🇦

Join us at Café Ukraine as we come together to celebrate the Ukrainian language, culture, and unity! 💙💛

Every year, Ukrainians around the world participate in the National Unity Radio Dictation, a tradition that brings our global community together through the power of our language.

This year, we're inviting Ottawa's Ukrainian community to take part in this meaningful tradition together! We'll listen to a recording of the official dictation and write alongside one another.

📅 Tuesday, October 27, 2026

🕡 Doors open: 6:30 PM
✍️ Dictation begins: 7:00 PM

📍 Café Ukraine
913 Carling Ave, Ottawa

🎟️ Admission is FREE!

💛 Donations in support of Ukraine's defenders are welcome.

Whether you're confident in your Ukrainian spelling or simply want to connect with your heritage and community, everyone is welcome! This isn't about getting every word right. It's about coming together, celebrating our language, and keeping Ukrainian traditions alive wherever we are.

☀️ A little summer break!

Café Ukraine will be closed for the month of August while our amazing volunteers take a well-deserved break and recharge.

💙💛 We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday, September 1, and after that we'll be open every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We can't wait to see you again in September for coffee, conversation, and community. ☕🇺🇦

Have a wonderful rest of your summer! 🌻

Join us for a special evening of storytelling and live music 🇺🇦

Getting to Know Ukraine and Why We Care brings together powerful stories, cultural reflection, and music that connects us to Ukrainian roots and identity.

Ottawa author David Chernushenko will share readings from Standing with Underdogs, a personal family memoir exploring his Ukrainian heritage.

The evening will also feature moving performances by the Ukies Choir, led by director Tamara Osadcha, with Ukrainian songs and cultural insights.

✨ An evening to listen, reflect, and feel connected.
