Women and girls represent a cornerstone of our community’s strength and resilience. By prioritizing their rights and wellbeing, we foster an environment where all individuals can thrive. Empowered women contribute significantly to economic growth, social development, and the cultivation of healthier, more sustainable communities.

This year international women’s day, focus on rights, justice and action for all women and girls, its our collective responsibilities to promote women empowerment .

Community Involvement

1. Advancing Women's Rights: As we advocate for safe and equal access to education, healthcare, and opportunities, we empower women to be leaders and change-makers. This not only elevates women but also paves the way for future generations.

2. Enhancing Health and Safety: Access to critical resources and support services ensures that women can live safely and securely, free from the threat of violence and discrimination.

3. Fostering Education and Opportunity: By encouraging educational pursuits, we provide women with the skills and knowledge necessary to compete in a diverse job market, thus breaking the cycle of poverty.

Launching Our Fundraising Project

In alignment with these goals, WESAC is proud to announce the launch of a fundraising project dedicated to supporting low-income women, immigrants, and other members of our community in need.

Our objective is to raise funds to purchase a van that will serve as a vital resource for:

- Women fleeing domestic abuse: Providing safe transportation to shelters, court appointments, and counseling services.
- New immigrants transitioning from shelters to permanent housing: Facilitating the movement of personal belongings and assisting with the often challenging process of resettlement.
- Low-income women struggling with transportation: Offering transit support for essential appointments, job interviews, and educational opportunities.

Benefits of Promoting Women’s Empowerment

Empowering women directly benefits our community by nurturing a culture of inclusivity and resilience. When women are empowered:

- Economic Growth: Increased participation of women in the workforce leads to enhanced productivity and economic diversification.
- Social Stability: Empowered women often become advocates for change, contributing to stronger, more cohesive communities.
- Intergenerational Impact: Educated and empowered women invest in their families, creating a positive ripple effect that enhances the wellbeing of future generations.

Call to Action

On this significant day, we invite you to stand with us in advocating for women's rights, health, safety, and progress. Join WESAC in taking action that will not only transform lives but also strengthen our community as a whole.

Together, let us work towards empowering women, for when women rise, we all rise.

The month of February is a time to show love and compassion. At WESAC Foundation, we engaged in community outreach to support street homeless women, demonstrating that they are loved and valued. This initiative goes far beyond simply distributing winter blankets and sanitary kits; it focuses on creating connections, building trust, and engaging in meaningful conversations.

We want to take this opportunity to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our donors and volunteers. Your support makes a difference! Merci!
