At their request, CCAA is speaking with industry leaders about the specific challenges that the industry continues to face within the hiring and retention process of licensed AMEs.

CCAA will compile the findings from these workshops to present recommendations to the Federal government to address current and future workforce needs.

When eight-year-old Rylee needed eye surgery, her grandmother Marg knew getting the care she needed would mean travelling more than 550 km from their home in Williams Lake to Vancouver.

The biggest worry wasn't the surgery itself; it was how they were going to afford the trip.

After finding Hope Air online, Marg and Rylee were able to travel to Vancouver on Pacific Coastal Airlines, ensuring Rylee could receive her surgery without delaying the care she needed.

"The staff at the airport and on the plane were wonderful. Very caring, respectful, and kind individuals. Their professionalism was incredible. Thank you to everyone at Pacific Coastal and Hope Air for everything you have done."

If you or someone you know needs to travel for medical care, Hope Air may be able to help with travel support. Find out if you are eligible for travel support https://hopeair.ca/travel-support-services/
