Bad luck strikes again. With the weather forecast for tomorrow morning it seems like there is a very high chance of lots of rain and possible thunderstorms. So we are unfortunately canceling our social ride😢😢. We hope to have more social rides in September for you to attend!

🚨Ride Announcement!🚨

Join us Sunday, August 23rd for a ride to Deschênes Rapids Lookout. This will be a loop ride, starting and ending at the Canadian War Museum (See slide) at 9:00am, leaving at 9:15am. We will then ride to Deschênes Rapids Lookout along the Kichi Zibi Parkway, take a short break and then return back to the Canadian War Museum as a group.

Bring Water, and dress for the weather!

Accessibility:

- This route (15.6km round trip) will be on bike paths and the Kichi Zibi Parkway (Active Use Only)

- The ride will start and end at the Canadian War Museum with a small break at Deschênes Rapids Lookout

As always this is a no drop ride at a chill pace, so no one gets left behind!

It’s already August! After many a cancelled ride due to rain and thunder we are crossing our fingers and toes that luck is on our side in August!

Looking ahead at August we have:

August 11th: Social ride: War Museum to Lac Leamy Park (Meet 6:45pm, leave 7pm)

August 15-16th: Bikepacking overnighter to Merrickville. Spots will cost $30 and include camping and a pizza dinner on the Saturday night!

August 17th: Level 2 ride: Gatineau Park trail climb

August 23rd: Social ride to be announced!

August 31st: Level 2 ride: Rideau canal and river loop (tentative)

Join us Tuesday, August 11th for a loop ride to Lac Leamy Park. This will be a loop ride, starting and ending at the Canadian War Museum (See slide) at 6:45pm, leaving at 7:00. We will then ride to Lac Leamy Park, take a short break and then return back to the Canadian War Museum as a group. Your ride home could be in the dark so please bring your charged bike lights (try the dollar store or bike shop).

Join us for our second last bikepacking trip of the year to Merrickville on August 15-16.

122km of beautiful countryside over 2 days with a mix of paved and gravel terrain. With several snack and rest stops along the way, come join us for a challenging yet fun adventure!

If you've wanted to try a longer bikepacking trip, this will be an excellent chance to push yourself amongst good company in a semi supported environment!

Spots will cost $30 and include camping and a pizza dinner on Saturday night.

Join us Monday, July 27th for a loop ride to Vincent Massey Park. This will be a loop ride, starting and ending at Strathcona Park (See slide) at 7:00pm, leaving at 7:15. We will then ride to Vincent Massey Park, take a short break and then return back to Strathcona Park as a group. For the July bikepacking trip, QBC is doing a new twist on a 3 year tradition!

This weekend will take us on an adventure through the Ottawa pathway network (25km) with an ice-cream break, followed by pizza and a campfire during the evening.

Sunday will be an easy (17km) ride back to downtown, with the whole trip being a relaxed overnighter.

Happy July!! We are wrapping up a great (rainy) June and officially entering summer! Sun's out, bikes out!

Looking ahead at July we have:

July 6th: Level 2 ride: Rideau canal and river loop @6:45 pm

July 9th: Social ride: War Museum to Lac Leamy Park (Meet 7pm, leave 7:15pm, post coming soon)

July 20th: Level 2 ride: Bruce Pit Loop @6:45 pm

July 25/26th: Wesley Clover Overnighter! A relaxed bikepacking trip to Wesley Clover Park. More info coming soon, but as always, there will be beginner friendly vibes at a chill pace.

July 27th: Social ride: Strathcona Park to Vincent Massey Park (Meet 7pm, leave 7:15 pm)
