African Hockey Association The African Hockey Association AHA! is a community-led response to diversity in hockey.

Our goal is to create an all-inclusive safe space for marginalized kids of all ages and means to play hockey in a safe, accepting, respectful space, where they can develop their favorite Canadian sport without fear of artificial restrictions, such as racial discrimination and financial inability.

A HUGE thank you goes out to our friends at Next Shift for suiting up next years squad for us today! Hundreds of pieces of equipment were handed out to 62 of our 75 kids signed up for the fall. Another thank you goes out to all the AHA volunteers for spending the afternoon running around on the pavement, and to all of our amazing families for coming on out, bringing the excitement!❤️ We all can’t wait to hit the ice in September!🥳

Thank you to and for having a few members of our program out on the ice today!

The and announced a partnership earlier this morning, which includes donating $25,000 to our friends at Next Shift Hockey who so graciously donate all of our players equipment.

The kids had an absolute blast, especially getting to play with NHL superstars Matthew Schaefer and Tom Wilson!❤️
