Train your palate to catch the faults that hide in your beer. In this hands-on workshop — a collaboration between BeerGrains and the OHBS — you’ll taste 5–6 of the most common off-flavours in beer, each one deliberately spiked so you know exactly what it smells and tastes like. For every fault we’ll break down what causes it and the practical steps to keep it out of your own brewing. 🍻

When: Saturday, September 19, 2026, 4:30pm – 7pm
Where: Nita Beer Company, 190 Colonnade Rd, Ottawa
Cost: $20

Food and drink will be available for purchase at Nita. Must be 19+.

Mark your calendar 📆

Saturday, June 13th, 10am–2pm we’re taking over the parking lot for a full day of all things homebrew 🍺

The Ottawa Homebrew Society is putting on live brewing demos throughout the day! This is a perfect opportunity if you’re curious about the hobby or looking to pick up some new tricks. And if you’ve been brewing for years, come hang out, talk shop, and meet other homebrewers from around the city. OHBS members will be on site to chat about the club and the perks of being part of Ottawa’s homebrew community.

And because no good brew day is complete without food, Beer Grains is firing up a free BBQ for everyone who comes out.
🍔🌭

Bring a friend, bring your questions, bring an appetite. See you June 13th! 🍻
