Beat the heat and hit the ice this summer with 3 weeks of skating, growth & fun!

Our 2026 Summer Skate Program is open to skaters Star 1 and up and is a great way to stay active, build skills, and keep progressing through the summer in a fun and supportive environment.

✨ Program highlights:

* Open to skaters Star 1 and up
* On-ice and off-ice sessions
* Group lessons, skills/dance, and freeskate
* Private and shared lessons available during skills/dance and freeskate times
* A great opportunity to keep moving, learning, and improving all summer long

📅 Program Dates:
Week 1: July 27–30
Week 2: August 4–6
Week 3: August 10–13

A huge shoutout to our CanPower and PowerSkate participants for an absolutely incredible season! 💙⛸️

This was our very first year running these morning programs and we truly could not have asked for a better group of athletes, families, coaches, and Program Assistants. The commitment shown by everyone involved was amazing; with near-perfect attendance almost every single morning!

From early alarms to early ice times, these skaters showed up ready to work hard, push themselves, and improve every day. We had so much fun “kicking these kids into shape” 😉 and somehow they still made it to school afterwards with smiles on their faces!

It takes a lot of dedication and commitment to come train before the school day even starts, and we are beyond proud of every participant who took on the challenge this season. Thank you to everyone who helped make these programs such a success - we already cannot wait for next year! 💪❄️✨

That’s why we created the South Okanagan Sports Buy & Sell group. A place for families from Sun Bowl Skating Club and other clubs within the area to:

✔️ Buy affordable used items
✔️ Sell sporting goods your kids have outgrown
✔️ Swap with other families

🏒✨ Power Skating Starts Tomorrow! ✨⛸️

We’re excited to welcome our Power Skaters back to the ice starting Tuesday, April 7th!

🗓 Tuesdays & Thursdays
⏰ 7:15 AM – 8:15 AM
📍 Sun Bowl Arena

This program is designed for ages 9–13 looking to build balance, power, agility, and endurance on the ice. Led by NCCP Regional (Level 2) Coach Patricia Fortunato, your skater will be working on strong edges and skating skills like never before!

🚍 Osoyoos Elementary skaters will be bused back to school in time for the morning bell.

What to bring:
✔️ Hockey helmet
✔️ Gloves
✔️ Water bottle

Please note:
❌ No hockey sticks or additional gear
🎒 Large hockey bags cannot go on the bus

Looking to give your young athlete an edge on the ice? Our PowerSkate program is designed for players ages 9–13 who want to build stronger skating skills, improve balance, boost power, and level up their agility and endurance. 💪❄️

🗓 April 7th – April 30th
⏰ Tuesdays & Thursdays | 7:15–8:15 AM
💲 Only $220

⭐ Star Academy – The next step after CanSkate (Stage 4+)
⭐ Jr. StarSkate – For skaters working at STAR 1+2 level
⭐ Int/Sr/Adult StarSkate – For skaters who have completed STAR 1+2 level. Advanced skill development (Adults welcome!)
🔥 PowerSkate – Sharpen your skaters balance, power & agility

We’re so excited to share that Sun Bowl Skating Club has been featured in the newspaper this week! What an incredible moment for our athletes, coaches, and club as a whole.

We are so proud of each athlete who continues to grow, push themselves, and represent our club with such heart and sportsmanship. ⛸️

Our Ice Skating Academy is such a special part of Sun Bowl Skating Club, giving skaters the opportunity to grow their skills in a focused, supportive environment. The Academy allows athletes to build confidence, develop strong fundamentals, and progress through the STAR pathway, all while balancing school and training. We’re so proud to offer a program right here in our community that helps our skaters reach their goals and continue to fall in love with the sport.

We also want to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU to our amazing community and sponsors.
