We are pleased to announce that New Life Neighbourhood Centre (NLNC) has officially changed its name to Durham Neighbourhood Centre (DNC).
After 29 years of serving Durham Region, DNC reflects the evolution of our work and our commitment to helping people move from vulnerability toward greater stability, opportunity, and independence.
Our integrated approach brings together four key areas of support:
Food Bank — addressing immediate food insecurity.
Productivity HUB — building skills and capabilities for greater self-sufficiency.
ONEA — Oshawa Newcomer Employment Accelerator — launching next month to help newcomers overcome barriers to employment and economic participation.
Supportive Resources — connecting individuals and families to services that help sustain their progress.
Together, these initiatives form the DNC's emerging integrated resilience and economic mobility system, helping people move from crisis to capacity, from capacity to opportunity, and from opportunity to greater independence.
