Durham Region Critical Incident Stress Support Team The Durham Region Critical Incident Stress Support Team is dedicated to helping all emergency responders in crisis. We are a CRA registered charity.

All our members are volunteers. All peer support members are either Paramedics, Police Officers or Firefighters. We are backed up by volunteer Mental Health Professionals. Although formed as a Durham, only team we regularly deploy outside the region. The team has deployed to the Ice Storm( Eastern Ontario); Peggy's Cove and to New York City (post 911). A member of the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF), all our team members are trained to the "Mitchell" model of support.
