Durham Queer Parenting Durham Q***r Parenting (DQP) - LGBTQ Parents group in Durham We support families that are adoptive, foster, co-parented, step-parented, blended and extended.

Durham Q***r Parenting (DQP) are parents who may be partnered, single, considering parenthood, pregnant, parenting and awaiting adoption or surrogate birth. While many of our community’s parents have access to local parents groups, many more do not, especially le***an, gay, bisexual, transgender and q***r (LGBTQ) friendly ones. Parents groups are the heart of DQP. They are formal and informal grou

ps of LGBTQ families and those considering parenthood. DQP organizes social, educational and advocacy-based activities for their families and their communities. Some events and or gatherings are quite large, some are smaller groups of families that meet monthly for potlucks and/or other child-friendly social opportunities. All meetings, groups and gatherings are volunteer-run, and serve to connect and strengthen our families.
