We’ve found a bigger venue this year, which means more room for everyone and more opportunity to celebrate together! 🎉

We’ve also made one small change to help us plan for the evening and make sure our numbers are accurate:

🎁 **A $10 refundable deposit per person will be required to secure your spot.

Last year, we had a number of people RSVP who were unfortunately unable to attend. This made planning around our venue capacity a little tricky. So this year, we’re asking for a small holiday commitment when you RSVP. 😉

**And don’t worry — your $10 deposit comes right back to you in cash when you attend! 💵🎄

Just like our Adult Holiday Social, we’re making a small change this year to help us plan accurately and make sure we’re preparing for the families who will be joining us.

Last year, we had a number of registrations where families were unfortunately unable to attend. While we understand that plans can change, accurate numbers help us make sure we have the right amount of food, activities, supplies and gifts ready for everyone. 🎄

URGENT: We need your help!

Background

Ajax library workers are just hours away from a strike deadline at midnight.

They're working hard to negotiate a new collective agreement, but the Employer is still not moving.

That's where we come in. We need to build pressure on the Library Board, via the Mayor and Town Council, and get them to negotiate a fair deal.

The sticking point is Sunday premiums. Every municipal worker in Ajax gets a pay premium if they work on Sundays, except library workers.

Part-time workers are hardest hit because they mostly work on evenings and weekends. We need fairness for all municipal workers and all library workers.

Our Unit 11 Unit Chair Sue went and joined the OPSEU 386 picket line this week where she proudly showed her Solidarity! These members have been walking the line for 4 months now - thank you all for standing up for what is right and more importantly, for what you deserve. We are happy to hear an agreement was reached today - feel proud in all you've accomplished! ✊🏻✊🏼✊️✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿

As we close out a beautiful day on the course, we wanted to save one final tee time for some very special people. ❤️

Today was about having fun, coming together in solidarity, and raising money for an incredible cause, but it was also a chance to reflect.

We think about the members, friends, family, and loved ones we’ve lost to cancer this year and in years past. We think about those who should still be here with us, sharing days like today.

We stand with the warriors — our members, friends, and loved ones who are fighting cancer right now. We’re thinking of you, cheering you on, and standing beside you every step of the way.

And we celebrate our survivors — those who fought cancer, kicked its ass, and remind us every day just how strong our community can be. ✊️

So this tee time is for them.

For the friends who couldn’t be down here with us today. Who we miss dearly.
For the people whose memories we carry with us.
For the survivors who remind us what strength looks like.
And for the hope that one day, no family, friend, workplace, or union will have to lose someone to cancer again.

Today, we golfed for a great cause. We raised money. We laughed. We made memories. And through it all, we remembered why supporting organizations like Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre matters so much.

Until there’s a cure, we’ll keep showing up for one another. ❤️

A huge shoutout to the organizing team behind today’s SolidariTee Tournament! ⛳️

There’s a lot that happens behind the scenes to make a day like this come together, and it was great to see all that work pay off and get everyone out on the course for a beautiful day.

From the planning and setup to keeping things moving throughout the day, it takes a team to pull it all together.

Great job today, folks, and thank you for helping make the tournament such a success while raising money for Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre! ❤️
