❤️ THANK YOU, COMMUNITY! ❤️

October 17th, 2026 was one for the books! 🎉

Our latest DAO Drag Bingo Night packed the room with laughter, bingo, incredible performances, and a whole lot of community spirit, and together we raised an amazing $4,179 for Durham Alliance Outreach!

That support helps DAO continue our work in the community, including supporting the DAO Market and the people who count on it.

And WOW… you came ready to play! 🤩

💰 We handed out $1,725 in Bingo cash prizes throughout the night.

🎟️ Our Cash 50/50 reached an incredible $1,080!

🎁 Plus, more than $450 worth of raffle prizes were given away between games, including Club 717 gift cards, a prize from Juicy Tattoos, two Spencer’s Gifts baskets, a Melanie Pringle gift certificate, four alcohol tumbler sets, Oshawa Generals tickets and more!

And then there was the food. ❤️

The amount of non-perishable food donated for the DAO Market was incredible. Bag after bag came through the doors. Seeing our community show up for people who need a little extra help means just as much to us as the money raised.

A huge thank-you to our fabulous performers: Diva, Anita and Gloria. You brought the energy, laughs and entertainment all night long. Thank you to all the volunteers who worked the event. 👑✨

To everyone who bought a ticket, played bingo, bought raffle tickets, joined the 50/50, donated food, volunteered, donated prizes, performed, worked behind the scenes or simply helped spread the word…

THANK YOU!

You filled the room.
You filled the prize tables.
You helped fill our pantry.
And you helped raise $4,179 for DAO. ❤️

A huge thank you also to Club 717 for once again giving our community a place to come together, laugh, celebrate, and make a difference.

$4,179 raised.
$1,080 Cash 50/50.
$1,725 in Bingo cash prizes.
Over $450 in additional prizes.
A mountain of food for the Market.

But the best part of the night?

One community showing up for each other. ❤️

From all of us at Durham Alliance Outreach, thank you for making October 17th such an incredible success.

When our community comes together, amazing things happen. 🌈❤️

❤️ A HUGE thank you to Kristy at Juicy Tattoos 🖤

We want to send a heartfelt thank you to Kristy at Juicy Tattoos for organizing an incredible food drive in support of Durham Alliance Outreach (DAO) Market! 🥫🛒

Just look at all those donations! 😍

Thanks to Kristy and everyone who contributed, our shelves will be a little fuller, and we’ll be able to continue supporting individuals and families experiencing food insecurity throughout Durham Region.

It’s community members and local businesses stepping up like this that make such a meaningful difference. Every donation, big or small, helps us put food on the table for our neighbours who need it most.

Kristy, thank you for thinking of DAO Market, rallying your community, and showing what happens when local businesses give back! 💕

Please join us in giving Juicy Tattoos a HUGE round of applause! 👏👏👏

Today is a beautiful reminder to celebrate the courage it takes for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals to live their truth.

To anyone who isn't ready or safe to come out yet: your identity is still entirely valid. Your safety comes first.

💚 WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY 💚

Today reminds us that mental health matters, and so does having a community around you.

At Durham Alliance Outreach, support can look different for everyone. Sometimes it means having someone to talk to. Sometimes it means access to food, a calming kit, a welcoming space, or simply knowing you have somewhere to turn.

Through DAO, our community can access:
- Peer support and community groups
- Food and essential supports through the DAO Market
- Calming Kits
- Community space and events
- Additional community programs and resources

You do not have to have everything figured out before reaching out.

If you or someone you know could use some support, take a look at what is available through Durham Alliance Outreach:

Your mind matters. Your well-being matters. And community matters. 💚
