Founded in 1987, The Orillia Business Women’s Association is a non-profit, non-fundraising group that gathers for the purpose of networking. after. per year.

The Orillia Business Women's Association is a not for profit, organization that gathers for the purpose of networking.. All women are welcome. We meet every second Wednesday of each month at the Best Western Mariposa + Conference Centre on Memorial Ave. A Networking table is set up for us to display our business cards and a small amount of product or information hand outs. Sit down dinner at 6:30 ($30.00 for Members or first time guests) Non Members pay $37. Guest Speaker goes on after dinner. One year Membership is only $70. We take the summer (July/Aug.) off and resume in September.

Your OBWA membership allows another person from your company or association to attend on your behalf, giving them the opportunity to connect, share ideas and build relationships within our community.

Please remember: only one representative per company or association may attend each meeting under your membership.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 💗

As a women’s networking group, we know the power of showing up for one another. This month, let’s make space for conversations about breast health, encourage each other to ask questions, and support those affected by breast cancer.

A simple check-in can mean more than you know. Reach out to a friend, make time for your own health, and speak with a healthcare provider about screening that’s right for you.

Together, we can build a community where no one feels alone. 💕

Join the Orillia Business Women’s Association for our October Networking Dinner on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at Bayside Restaurant at Barnfield Point.
We’re looking forward to an evening of conversation, new connections, and guest speaker Wendy Morgan.

October special: dinner is $30 for both members and guests! Your ticket includes a garden salad, honey garlic chicken and vegetable stir fry over rice, fruit crisp, coffee or tea, tax, and gratuity. A vegetarian stir fry is available; please let OBWA know in advance about vegetarian requests or allergies.

Get your dinner tickets now for our October networking meeting at Bayside Restaurant in Orillia, on October 14th from 5:30-8:30pm.

You do not want to miss this guest speaker.
Wendy Morgan is the co-author of The Red Canoe.

What began as a lark grew into a great adventure creating a book with six writers. Wendy found this project has been both fun and rewarding, and she is excited to share with you not only her stories, but also the wonderful feeling of accomplishment that comes with creating The Red Canoe.
It is a murder mystery set on the shores of Lake Couchiching at a condo called Northview Towers. It will keep you guessing until the very end.
Wendy & her fellow authors of Red Canoe have donated book proceeds currently of $2,500 to Green Haven Women Shelter.
