Dr. John Seki is retiring from his office practice and elective surgeries 💜

For over 24 years, Dr. Seki has provided excellent care in our community. Now, it's our time to show our gratitude.

To celebrate Dr. Seki's retirement, we are hosting a fundraiser to support the place he calls his "second home", Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital. In fact, Dr. Seki loves OSMH so much that he will continue to provide on-call support to his hospital during his retirement.

Show your gratitude: https://osmhfoundation.donorsupport.co/page/FUNARSVQWHC?fundraiser=dr-john-seki&member=SKCGNMLE

Donate today to celebrate Dr. Seki's incredible career and impact in our community. Leave a comment with your donation to congratulate Dr. Seki, and we will compile your kind words to share with him.

Right now, your gift to Soldiers' Ride can go twice as far!

Thanks to a generous $25,000 matching gift from McGregor on the Water, every donation to Soldiers’ Ride presented by TD Bank Group will be matched for a limited time. That means you can make double the impact for patients and families in our community.

After an incredible event on June 7 that raised $240,000, we are inspired by our cyclists to go the distance for healthcare excellence. We need your help to keep the momentum going before fundraising closes on June 19.

If you were not able to take part in the ride, this is your chance to be part of it in a meaningful way.

Your support helps advance planning for a new hospital while ensuring patients continue to receive compassionate, high quality care close to home today. Every gift strengthens healthcare across Orillia, Simcoe County, and Muskoka.

Make 2X the difference before June 19. Donate now and double your impact.

Congratulations to Nikki-Dawn, a recreational therapist with the WayHome department at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, on your recent Soldiers' Honour nomination 💜

"Nikki-Dawn is the heart and soul of the recreation program on Harvie 2 (WayHome). Her endless patience and energy make everyone feel welcome, and she makes a dedicated effort every day to invite and include everyone," our grateful patient said.

"Nikki-Dawn helps those who are often in hospital for extended periods of time find joy in their days. OSMH is lucky to have her."

Let your healthcare providers know how much you appreciate them with a donation to Soldiers’ Honour. Your honouree will be presented with a commemorative pin and a certificate of acknowledgement to show them their patients appreciated the care they provided.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, McHappy Day in Orillia raised $27,500, with $14,000 staying close to home to support care for newborns and families at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital.

These funds will help strengthen care in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Regional Women and Children Program, where more than 1,000 babies are welcomed each year.

For families facing unexpected challenges during pregnancy, birth, or early infancy, support like this helps ensure care teams have the specialized equipment and resources they need when it matters most.

We are deeply grateful to Jennifer and Jason O'Neill, the Orillia McDonald’s teams, volunteers, and everyone who supported McHappy Day. Your generosity is helping provide compassionate, high‑quality care for our smallest patients today, while building capacity for the families who will need us tomorrow.
