Please join us in welcoming Dr. Amanda Gardhouse to the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital Foundation Board of Directors!

Through her leadership and clinical roles with the Couchiching Ontario Health Team, Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Couchiching Family Health Team, and as Physician Lead for Geriatric Medicine with North Simcoe Muskoka Specialized Geriatric Services, Dr. Gardhouse is a passionate advocate for senior-friendly, person-centred care.

Serving Orillia and surrounding areas for over a decade, Dr. Gardhouse works to ensure older adults receive care that respects their goals, preserves their independence, and supports them in living well. Her passion lies not only in helping older adults age with dignity, but also in building a healthcare system that recognizes their strengths, values their contributions, and helps them thrive.

Having witnessed firsthand the impact that compassionate care, strong teams, and community generosity can have on patients and families, she is excited to help strengthen the connection between OSMH and the community it serves. She sees this opportunity as a meaningful way to give back to a community that has been central to both her professional and personal life, while supporting the future of healthcare in our region.
