Hello everyone, my name is Alasoba (Ah-la-sow-bah) Kelsy-Braide and I am running for the Councillor position at Ward 3.

Someone recently asked me” What made you want to run for council?”

The truth is, running for council was never my original plan. What brought me here is my passion for serving others and my commitment to making our community a better place for everyone.

Over the years, I have worked alongside families, young people, newcomers, and people from diverse backgrounds. Those experiences have taught me that our community needs leaders who show up, listen, follow you and follow through.

I am running because I believe my experience, dedication, and heart for service can bring meaningful progress to Ward 3 and Orillia. My commitment is simply to show up for our community, listen to residents, follow up on their concerns, and follow through with action.

Together, we can bring a community where everyone feels heard, valued and included.
