Last year just before Christmas I had an idea and wanted to do something for single moms (on a low income, or with Family Transition Place), and put together "Believe Bags". Because of the timing we didn't know how many bags we would be able to do, but talked to friends and family and instead of exchanging gifts, we bought items specifically for women and put together a "Believe Bag". We know that children are not forgotten as we have many toy drives and events that ensure kids have a Christmas, but we wanted to make sure women could Believe too. Contributions such as nail polish, make-up remover, and any items geared towards women would be something greatly appreciated. In 2012 we were able to provide a "Believe Bag for every woman staying at Family Transition Place. This year we hope to create enough "Believe Bags" for as many women as we possibly can. Please note that this is not a registered charity and we are relying on the help of this great community to help us reach our goal.
