Nesting season is here! 🐢
Scales Nature Park is the home of the S.T.A.R.T. Project, a fresh water turtles conservation effort.
Every year, we incubate thousands of eggs from nests laid in precarious areas, to then be hatched in our facility and release the hatchlings in the wild in order to boost survival.

This beautiful video was filmed here, by the talented Scales Nature Park alumni Quan Huynh (IG Profile Quan Huynh) to highlight the perils fresh water turtles in Ontario face to ensure a future for the next generation.

Thank you.
