I'm not even sure where to begin. ❤️
Every year, when the dust settles after our Ranch Show, I find myself wondering if I have it in me to do it all again. 😂 The planning, the organizing, the worrying, the million little details that nobody sees... it's a LOT.
But this year? This year feels different.
Not only did we finally find our flow but... the messages, the posts, the kind words, and the genuine appreciation we've received since the weekend have been overwhelming in the very best way. I've read some of them more than once, and I can't tell you how much they mean to me.
The idea for the South Cariboo Ranch Show was born after attending a fabulous show put on by the Ranch Horse Revolution Club. We came home inspired by what they had created and thought, why couldn't we build something like that here in the Cariboo?
Four years later, here we are.
From the beginning, the goal was never just to put on another horse show. It was to create a place where people feel welcome, where good horsemanship is celebrated, where friendships are made, and where everyone, regardless of their experience, feels like they belong.
And reading these words, I think maybe we're doing just that. 🥹
I also need to give a whole lot of love to Krista. ❤️ The two of us are the ones behind the scenes, dreaming things up, figuring things out, putting out fires (sometimes before anyone even knows there was one 😂), and somehow pulling this whole thing together year after year. I honestly couldn't imagine doing it without her. We make a pretty darn good team!
Of course, none of it would be possible without the incredible people who step up alongside us. Our volunteers, sponsors, officials, competitors, and everyone who pitches in wherever they're needed. You are what makes this show so special.
I've always loved horses, but it's the people I've met along the way who make this community something truly extraordinary.
So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. For showing up, for supporting us, for sharing your experiences, and for reminding us why we do this.
And to the Ranch Horse Revolution Club, thank you for planting that little seed four years ago. You never know what you might inspire simply by doing something you love.
I think it's safe to say... there WILL be a 5th Annual Ranch Show! 🤠❤️
