MISTRESS OF DISGUISE: Female Goldenrod Crab Spiders are ambush spiders, often hiding on flowers waiting for prey to land. They can change colour, from bright white to lemon yellow, depending on where they are. This one, however, clearly stood out against the old fireweed blossom.
