Every community has a story, and so does MyCityCare Foothills.

Our story began in 2017 as MyCityCare Okotoks, with a simple desire to care for our neighbours and respond to needs in our community.

Over the years, that care grew beyond Okotoks. As we began serving more communities throughout the greater Foothills area, our name eventually needed to grow with us.

In 2026, MyCityCare Okotoks became MyCityCare Foothills—reflecting the broader community we have the privilege of serving.

But while our name has changed, our heart hasn't.

We're still committed to coming alongside people, responding to practical needs with dignity, building meaningful connections, and creating opportunities for our community to care for one another.

What started in Okotoks has grown into something bigger—and we're grateful for every person who has been part of the journey.

And this story is still being written.

What an incredible week of community in action. 💙

To the amazing volunteers who gave their time to pack backpacks and welcome families during distribution—thank you. Your kindness, energy, and willingness to serve made all the difference.

We’re also so grateful to our incredible partners:
💙 Okotoks Toyota
💙 Staples Okotoks
💙 McMan Family Services

And to everyone in our community who donated supplies, gave financially, or cheered us on along the way—thank you. Because of you, local students are heading back to school with the supplies they need and the reminder that their community believes in them.

Together, we didn’t just fill backpacks—we shared hope. ❤️

Backpacks. Community. Hope.

There’s something special about seeing backpacks lined up and ready to head into the hands of local students. 💙 Every backpack represents a child who will walk into the new school year feeling prepared, supported, and seen.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us to pack backpacks yesterday! Your time and care are helping make a meaningful difference for families across the Foothills.

🎒 Packing continues today from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM at our warehouse, and we’d love to have you join us. No experience needed—just willing hands and a heart to serve!

📚 Backpack distribution takes place Friday evening and Saturday afternoon. We’re still looking for volunteers to help welcome families and make the experience a positive one for every child.

❤️ Every backpack tells a story of a community that cares.

If you’d like to support Stuff the Bus—and the many other programs MyCityCare provides throughout the year—please consider making a donation. Your generosity helps us continue bringing hope, dignity, and practical support to our neighbours when they need it most.

👉 Volunteer and donation links are in our bio.
