Air Rescue One Air Rescue One Heli Winch Society (AROHWS) is a benevolent registered charity dedicated to saving lives and serving community.

AROHWS was formed in 2017 to fundraise, promote, and help deliver the regional Air Rescue One Program (AR1).

In this photo, there is a Registered Nurse, an Advanced Life Support Paramedic, a HEMS trained ER Doctor, and an Athletic Therapist. Decades of combined training and experience, all learning how to load an old school manual stretcher! We use a manual stretcher to save on weight, as our primary mission is rescue.

A huge thank you to BC Community Gaming Capital Grants for making the purchase of our Life Port rack possible. This rack allows for the mounting of additional seating and storage of communication and medical equipment in the helicopter. In addition, it is easily movable and can be used in all Bell 212 and 412s. BC Capital Grants make investment in BC safety infrastructure possible. Thank you BC Gaming!
