Our Anchor Building & Cleaning Course this weekend, guided by Nicole, was so much fun!

We spent the day at Skaha Bluffs learning the basics of anchors, along with pro tips and tricks for sleek, well dressed knots. 🪢

One of our group members had a birthday so there were purple hats taped to our helmets and sweet treats to share among friends ☀️

An amazing group of people to share the day with!

Last weekend our Rock Rescue course taught participants essential skills for what to do when the unexpected happens.

We spent two days learning rescue techniques that with practice will equip them to safely handle unexpected situations on a multipitch climb.

Thank you to our amazing guide, Ren, for sharing their knowledge and empowering our participants to navigate an emergency.

We’re so grateful to have Eskala Mountain Sports as our “Sidepull Sponsor” for the 2026 Mentorship Program! Eskala is an independent climbing & mountain sports store in Penticton. Their team is so caring & knowledgable that we never want to go anywhere else for our gear purchases. Support local businesses - especially the ones that give back to the community like Eskala 🫶

What does it mean to be a Sidepull Sponsor?
Sidepulls keep the route interesting, and encourage creative movement and problem-solving. They tend to offer superb clipping positions to help us stay safe and calm in our climbing journey. Our Sidepull Sponsor, Eskala Mountain Sports, is a well-needed sidekick - like a trusted friend holding our hand in the most critical moments as we reach for the top.

Eskala has provided both gear and financial support to ROC to help make this volunteer-led program more accessible. Thanks to sponsors like Eskala, we’re able to offer the mentorship program on a sliding scale starting at $0 for folks who experience financial barriers.

Thank you so much for your support 💖💫

This year we're providing Mentors with more support, more resources and more opportunity to connect with each other.
