โœจ BELIEVE. BELONG. BECOME. โœจ

Three musical experiences. One season about growing up, finding your place and discovering where your voice can take you. This is the story of our 2026/27 season.

Our season begins with what it means to believeโ€”in possibility, in imagination, and in where your voice might take youโ€”with All Aboard!, a concert inspired by The Polar Express. ๐Ÿš‚

Next, we'll explore what it means to belong, with All You Need Is Love, a celebration of the families, friendships, and community that surround us, and the power of music to bring us together. ๐Ÿ’–

Our season concludes on an exciting note with the Canadian premiere of Be Like The Bird, a staged choral work by Canadian composer Sarah Quartel. Itโ€™s a story of courage, resilience, change and renewal that reflects what we hope for every young person at OC: to find the courage to take risks, the confidence to use their voice, and the freedom to discover who they can become. ๐ŸŒฑ

We're still accepting new choristers in our younger ensembles. We hope you'll find your voice with us this year! ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ’™

What happens when you take choir out of the rehearsal room? ๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŒฒ๐Ÿ˜€

At the end of September, our Growing, Vibrant, and United Voices choristers headed to YMCA Cedar Glen for our annual Oakville Choir Retreat!

Between rehearsals, outdoor adventures, games, a campfire, and plenty of time together, our singers had the chance to do so much more than make music. They strengthened friendships, built confidence, practised leadership, and grew together as a choir community.

Because choir is about so much more than the notes we sing. Itโ€™s about belonging. ๐Ÿ’™

Some of the most special moments were simply watching our singers connect across ensembles and age groups, with older choristers encouraging younger singers, new friendships forming, and lots of laughter throughout the weekend!

Thank you to our incredible artistic staff and volunteers who helped make the weekend possible โ€” and to our choristers for bringing so much energy, enthusiasm and joy! ๐Ÿซถ

For our choristers, the OC is more than music.

It's friendship. It's community. It's learning to work together. And it's finding a place to belong.

This September, we invite your child to join us at an open rehearsal and experience all that our programs have to offer. ๐ŸŽถโœจ
