We’re thrilled to announce that Bunny Run Rabbit Rescue Society has been awarded a grant from Don Cherry’s Pet Rescue Foundation! 🎉

Based in Medicine Hat, AB, Bunny Run Rabbit Rescue Society is dedicated to catching, altering, and finding homes for abandoned domestic bunnies. This grant will help support their ongoing efforts to provide foster care and eventually forever homes for the furry friends who need it most. 🐇

Our Founder Cindy Cherry took notes during her life experience, putting pen to paper over the years and creating this amazing book we have today. Tragically, just as Cindy finished the book, she suddenly passed away.

Even though Cindy is not here with us today, she has delivered an outstanding book that pulls no punches and has topics for everyone to enjoy.

A portion from every book sold will be donated to this foundation, so we can continue to support the many animal groups and organizations in need.

It is with great sadness that we share the sudden passing of our Founder and President, Cindy Cherry.

Cindy worked tirelessly for many charities throughout her life, consistently giving back to the community and making this world a better place.

She started and completed the Rose Cherry Home for Kids (now the Darling Home for Kids), and was a leader in pediatric complex care and palliative home. In partnership with the WHL, Cindy led the charge in raising hundreds of thousands of dollars and awareness for organ donation for the Kidney Foundation.

Finally, as our fearless leader, she founded Don Cherry Pet Rescue Foundation, helping hundreds of pet rescue groups, and thousands of animals.

Cindy, you will be forever missed, but your legacy will continue to live on in the work you did, and the work we will continue to do in your honour. May you always rest in peace.

Due to the unprecedented amount of requests we are receiving for grants, we are only processing grant requests for those groups that have never received one. This Foundation supports all animals including reptiles, birds, pocket pets, etc. and we want to ensure that first time applicants are able to receive a grant.

Glad we could support the volunteers of Freedom Drivers with some much needed gas cards to subsidize their expenses.

This group organizes ground transportation for several rescue groups around Montreal, that have animals who need to be driven to their rescue partners in Ontario & Quebec.
