Throwback to one of Cameron's earliest summers at Camp Kirk.
Most people play the recorder with their mouth.
Cameron and his counsellor decided to try their noses instead.
Was it a little wacky? Absolutely.
Did it make the audience laugh, cheer, and celebrate? You bet it did!
At Camp Kirk, creativity doesn't have to fit inside a box. Neurodivergent children and youth often see the world differently, and that's something worth celebrating. Here, campers are encouraged to try new things, share their ideas, take risks, and be exactly who they are.
Sometimes that looks like discovering a hidden talent.
Sometimes it looks like finding the confidence to step onto a stage.
And sometimes it looks like playing a recorder with your nose while an entire camp cheers you on.
The magic isn't in the performance. It's in knowing you're supported enough to try.
