Small Town Cancer Fighters After some of our Dad’s had been affected by brain cancer in 2006 and passed away in 2009, we put together a team for the Relay for Life in Woodstock, ON.

The other team members, like most people, have been affected by cancer in some way. We raised $4,000 via online pledges. In 2010, we decided to started the Spring Yard Cleanup. Together, with your support, we raised over $7,000 in our first year. The fundraiser continued over the years, but was made a stand-alone fundraiser in 2014, with all funds going directly to Cancer Research. In 2021 we rais

ed a Grand Total of $347,000 in 1 day! To date, we have raised $1,509,667.00 to benefit the Canadian Cancer Society!

In 2025, we donated $248,000 to a group at London Health Science Center to Dr. Alison & PhD Student Anayra Goncalves, which they used to purchase equipment for their research lab.

Here is a quick update about the ongoing impact from our funding!

All of the lab equipment for the Cancer Biospecimen Lab has been purchased and is supporting more than 80 active cancer clinical trials in London. PhD student Anayra Goncalves is making excellent progress on her research, and in the Fall of 2025 she successfully completed her PhD candidacy exam - a huge milestone in her career! Above are pictures (picture 2) of the Ultra-Low Freezer used to store biospecimen samples, and (picture 3) of the centrifuge which is a machine to spring samples like blood and separate them into layers.

We’re looking forward to seeing where our money raised in 2026 can be donated and help in different ways!
