Manitoba, participating pharmacies take back used medical sharps.

Pick up a free sharps container from a registered pharmacy and bring it back when it reaches the fill line. Last year, nearly 30,000 kg of used medical sharps were safely returned across the province.

Safer homes start with one trip to the pharmacy 💊

Last week, we teamed up with Substance. Learn about it. Talk about it., Rexall Drugstore and police services across Canada for ‘Together for Safer Homes’. On Tuesday, we popped up at Rexall pharmacies to answer questions about safe storage and safe returns.

In Toronto, our CEO Delphine Lagourgue joined our partners to share how simple safe returns can be and reiterate that take back day is everyday!

La sécurité à la maison, ça commence par une visite à la pharmacie 💊

Cette semaine, nous nous sommes associés à Substance On s'informe. On en parle. , et à des services de police partout au Canada dans le cadre de l’initiative « Prévenir, ça commence à la maison ». Mardi, nous étions présents dans des pharmacies Rexall pour répondre aux questions sur le rangement et le retour sécuritaires des médicaments.

À Toronto, notre PDG, Delphine Lagourgue, s’est jointe à nos partenaires pour rappeler à quel point il est simple de rapporter ses médicaments en toute sécurité et que c’est possible de le faire tous les jours!

This National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we’re reflecting on the work of building meaningful partnerships with First Nations communities.

HPSA works with First Nations communities across Canada to support safe, accessible ways to return unwanted medications, and protect people, and the environment.

We remain committed to working together in strengthening this partnership.



En cette Journée nationale de la vérité et de la réconciliation, nous réfléchissons au travail à accomplir pour bâtir des partenariats significatifs avec les communautés des Premières Nations.

L’ARPS collabore avec les communautés des Premières Nations partout au Canada pour soutenir des moyens sécuritaires et accessibles de retourner les médicaments non désirés et contribuer à la protection des personnes et de l’environnement.

Il y a encore du chemin à faire, et nous nous engageons à le parcourir en partenariat.

Today is World Pharmacist Day.

Pharmacists play a vital role in making safe returns possible, providing a convenient place to return unwanted medications and used medical sharps containers, safely and hassle-free.

We thank all Pharmacists that work with us in making the system easy and accessible in all participating provinces.



Aujourd’hui, c’est la Journée mondiale des pharmacien·ne·s.

Les pharmaciennes et pharmaciens jouent un rôle essentiel dans le retour sécuritaire des médicaments : ils offrent un endroit pratique où rapporter les médicaments non désirés, ainsi que les contenants d’objets médicaux piquants, coupants ou tranchants (PCT) usagés, en toute sécurité et sans tracas.

Merci à toutes les pharmaciennes et tous les pharmaciens qui travaillent avec nous afin de rendre le système simple et accessible dans toutes les provinces participantes.
