✨ Week 4: Self-Confidence
This week, our Cohort 6 mentees explored self-confidence, the belief in their voices, visions, and ability to keep growing through uncertainty and process.
As they moved into post-production, mentees strengthened their confidence, communication, and professional skills while preparing to bring their creative visions to life. This week challenged them to trust their perspective, take up space, and stand behind the work they are creating.
Through each experience, they all continued building the confidence to share their voices and step boldly into their creative futures.
🖌️ Communications Design
How we communicate our work matters just as much as the work itself. In this workshop, mentees explored how design can shape the way an idea, brand, or creative identity is understood and experienced.
Through visual communication and design thinking, mentees explored how to create work that feels intentional, cohesive, and authentic to their brand. The session reinforced that design is more than aesthetics, it’s a powerful tool for storytelling and fostering connections.

🤝 Effective Networking
Creative opportunities often begin with a conversation. During Effective Networking, Kadiatu Barrie guided our mentees through the skills needed to confidently introduce themselves, communicate what they do, and build genuine professional relationships.
Our mentees explored how to approach networking with intention rather than simply collecting contact information, learning how to build meaningful relationships while staying authentic to themselves. Kadiatu emphasized the importance of taking up space, confidently sharing their voices, and recognizing the value they bring into every room they enter.
