π This Memorial Day, we are honored to have WWII and Korea Navy Veteran, RMN3 Jack Kindelman, as our special guest at the parade! Jack will be riding on the Alpha Overhead Door float near the front of the parade.
At 98 years young, Jack has dedicated over 10,000 hours to helping others, particularly homeless veterans, through his work with St. Vincent Hospital. Join us in celebrating a true hero who not only served his country but continues to give back to the community. Thank you for your service, Jack! πΊπΈπ
Read His Bio: Jackβa native of Roundup, MTβserved in both World War II and the Korean War. He joined the U.S. Navy just before turning 18, serving as a radioman at Skaggs Island Radio Station during WWII. When the Korean War broke out, Jack re-enlisted and was stationed aboard the USS Bisbee, where he and his crew heroically rescued 30 fleeing Korean civilians from a sinking fishing boat. After his military service, Jack returned to Montana, raised a family, and worked for Exxon. He later gave back to his community with over 10,000 volunteer hours at St. Vincent Healthcare and dedicated work with homeless veterans.
