The Youth Services Team is hosting a Trivia Night Fundraiser aimed for our 19+ Gen Z, Zillennials, Millennials and Our Gen X community members 👯 We will be serving beer and light snacks. With all proceeds going towards of Youth peer support programs!

Happy Lunar New Year!🌙🏮

The Lunar New Year or Spring Festival is based on moon cycles, falls on a different day every year, and marks the start of a new lunar calendar. It celebrates the arrival of spring.
This year, the Year of the Dragon begins on Feb. 10 and will be celebrated by millions worldwide on the night of the second new moon after the winter solstice. It’s said through the zodiac that people born in the year of the dragon are seen as charismatic, intelligent, confident, powerful, naturally lucky and gifted🐉 🏮🎇🌙

Lunar New Year is a centuries-old celebration marked by the beginning of the lunar calendar. While Lunar New Year is commonly referred to as “Chinese New Year”, it is observed in many countries across Asia, including China, Korea, and Vietnam.

With roots in the traditional lunisolar calendar of China, Lunar New Year is celebrated in a diversity of ways today. 🧧

If you are speaking generally, call it Lunar New Year. In greeting, you can say: “Happy Lunar New Year!” or “Happy new year!” 🌙

Don’t assume all Asians celebrate. Ask.⬅️

Each culture celebrates differently, though for all cultures who celebrate, the cleaning of the home, a large meal with extended family, and the freshness of a new year is the emphasis. 🥟🏮🧧

Together, they embark on a year-long quest for personal freedom, revealing how in a world where one must constantly fight for the right to exist, survival itself becomes a victory.

We are excited to have our Teen Open Gym program start up this Saturday!!! Sept 16th & 23rd 7:30pm-9:30pm. 🆓

Whether you are gearing up for basketball tryouts or want to play some soccer. The program is free for those between the ages of 13 to 18yrs old. Youth workers will be supervising and helping facilitating space: lending you a ball or organizing a picked up 3 on 3 game. We got you! 🏀⚽️🏐🤛

Enter through the skate park doors. Come alone or bring a friend. We look forward to seeing you there. 📍
